Hato Chamí

Hato Chamí is a community located in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca in Panama, belonging to the Nole Duima district. Situated near the capital of the comarca, Llano Tugrí, this area has been the subject of significant educational initiatives funded by the government. With an investment exceeding 60 million dollars, projects have been carried out for the construction and improvement of school infrastructure benefiting thousands of students.

In addition to the physical improvements in schools, these projects emphasize the preservation of the mother tongue and the implementation of a bilingual intercultural education system. The aim is not only to improve the quality of education but also to ensure that the cultural traditions of the indigenous community are respected and promoted. These measures seek to eliminate communication barriers and facilitate a more inclusive learning environment for the students of Hato Chamí.
